The Sapphire Energy company has debut its “green crude”. A gasoline equivalent made from an algae. It is available in both light crude (gasoline) and heavy crude (jet fuel).
Sapphire Energy recently announced the production of a 91 octane gasoline which could be used in current gasoline engines. The crude oil is produced directly from sunlight, Carbon Dioxide and microorganisms.
Sapphire has stated that their technology is not biodiesel or ethanol and that no farm is required to produce the biofuel. The technology and process of Sapphire offers a vast advantage over traditional approaches such as biodiesel and ethanol. One of the issues of renewable sources of energy is scalability.
Sapphire has said that their technology is easily scalable because their production is modular, transportable and fueled by sunlight and that it is not constrained by land, crops or other natural resources. Furthermore it is carbon-neutral since it simply converts carbon dioxide in the atmosphere into a reusable form.
This is a remarkable announcment since it is an almost true renewable resource.

A $175 hamburger is served with fries at The Wall Street Burger Shoppe in New York May 20, 2008. The Wall Street Burger Shoppe just raised its price from $150 to assure its designation as the most expensive burger in the city as determined by Pocket Change, an online newsletter about the most expensive things in New York.
The burger, created by chef and co-owner Kevin O’Connell, seeks to justify its price with a Kobe beef patty, lots of black truffles, seared foie gras, aged Gruyere cheese, wild mushrooms and flecks of gold leaf on a brioche bun.
The eatery sells 20 or 25 per month in the fine dining room upstairs versus hundreds of $4 burgers each day at the diner counter downstairs, Tierney said.
Pocket Change previously designated the double truffle burger at Daniel Boulud’s DB Bistro Moderne as the most expensive at $120, and the Burger Shoppe set out to top that.
Boulud’s creation — available only during black truffle season from December to March — rose to $150 this past season, so the Burger Shoppe raised its price on Monday to $175.
Today is Hubble Space Telescope’s 18th launch anniversary. In celebration, NASA has released 59 views of colliding galaxies constitute the largest collection of Hubble images ever released to the public. Astronomers observe only one out of a million galaxies in the nearby universe in the act of colliding.
However, galaxy mergers were much more common long ago when they were closer together, because the expanding universe was smaller. Astronomers study how gravity choreographs their motions in the game of celestial bumper cars and try to observe them in action.
For all their violence, galactic smash-ups take place at a glacial rate by human standards — timescales on the order of several hundred million years. The images in the Hubble atlas capture snapshots of the various merging galaxies at various stages in their collision.

Like something out of a science fiction movie, British patients are being implanted with bionic eyes. This has the potential to help hundreds of thousands of blind people. I am looking forward to seeing what else they can do with robotics and bionics.
Mr Lyndan de Cruz, the consultant retinal surgeon at Moorfields said:
“We have been fascinated with the idea of combining electronics and the human body since the Bionic Man in the 1970s. This shows it can and is being done.”
Kids can walk the bike forward. As they go faster they stride with feet off the ground for longer and longer periods of time, ultimately being able to pull both feet off the ground and coast. At first they tilt to one side or the other and their feet catch them like training wheels or a tripod would. Very quickly balance becomes second nature and they can coast for yards with their feet off the ground.Plus they are really cool.I can’t tell you how long I searched for FULL PROCESS website design, layout and coding lessons offered in video format. I scoured youtube, searched all of the forums and tutorial sites but have never found the complete package until I came across Gary’s web design tutorials.
In the video lessons, Gary takes you from beginning to end. Starting off with the design of the website he shows you the process of design as well as tips and techniques so you are able to create your own designs.
Next he shows you the art and science of “cutting” the psd image for coding. This is where I was lacking and had the most questions but through Gary’s video lessons I finally “got it”. It all clicked because of the step by step process and watching the videos.
And finally the best part, putting it all together. He teaches you how to code the site in easy to understand terms using the latest css/html techniques. I even a few questions which Gary had no problem helping with.
I probably sound like an info-mercial by now, but believe me, I don’t usually write this much for one post! But these lessons were exaclty what I was looking for and the only way I was finally able to learn web design. My design skills need work, but I can now build a website from start to finish!
You will get all this and more:
3 full website design tutorials
5 full logo design tutorials
Instant Access
And help from a Proffessional Web Designer.
Over 8 hours
The best part is that the price is really fair at less than $20!

Caracol one handed keyboard concept, its a computer keyboard that absolutely rubbishes all convention and takes to an entirely new approach to simplify typing. You can type blindingly fast and all that just with one hand. For this, Caracol, uses a rotary keyboard on a wheel through which you slip your palm.
The keyboard or rather, keywheel rests on a nice and comfortable, ergonomic pad very similar to the mousepad on which you rest the heel of your palm. The loop has a 5:1 gearbox which enables it to rotate even with a small movement of the palm.
